Simpson named player of the year
Millwall's on-loan Arsenal striker Jay Simpson has been named as the Professional Football Association Fans' League One player of the year.
Simpson has scored eight goals for the Lions, who are 17th in League One.
The 19-year-old's impressive form had already landed him the PFA player of the month prize in November and March.
The PFA Fans' awards are voted for by fans over the internet, and are not connected to the PFA's divisional team of the year voted for by the players.
Simpson scored the opener in Saturday's 3-0 win against Carlisle, which ensured Millwall's League One survival.
