McParland relief at avoiding drop
Notts County manager Ian McParland says he is thrilled his side do not have to wait until the final day of the season to secure their Football League status.
Richard Butcher scored the only goal as the Magpies beat Wycombe at Meadow Lane on Saturday to end their League Two relegation fears.
And McParland said: "I'm absolutely delighted we don't have to go to Chesterfield and get a result.
"I'm delighted, especially for the fans because it's been a hard season."

"Glad to see the oldest club in the world is safe for another season! You should be doing better with the resouces of a big city around you, what's gone wrong?"
Joseph Farrell
He added: "The main thing is Notts County are playing in the Football League.
"Even when I took the job in the first three weeks I knew it was going to be tough.
"It's a relief that we're staying in the league."
But McParland admitted he thought his side would have avoided the tension of a relegation scrap.
"We could have been safe a couple of weeks ago," he said.
"I expected us to be safe but then a couple of things don't go your way and they're a bit nervy - it can go to the wire."
But he said the Magpies would travel to face the Spireites at the Recreation Ground looking to "win the game and finish the season on a high note".
