Rochdale's Jones eyes promotion
Rochdale captain Gary Jones has targeted automatic promotion to League One next year as the best way to overcome play-off disappointment.
The 3-2 defeat to Stockport left Jones empty-handed, although he did have the consolation of becoming the first Dale skipper to lead a side out at Wembley.
"We've had a taste of success but maybe we can go one better next season.
"We can get into the top three. The lads have been fantastic," Jones told BBC Radio Manchester.
He added: "If you had said at the start of the season that we were going to Wembley in a play-off final, we would have taken that.
"We are a young team, a hungry young team and hopefully we can come again next season."
