Shrews confirm bid for Coughlan
Shrewsbury Town have confirmed they have made a bid for Rotherham United defender Graham Coughlan.
The club have told BBC Radio Shropshire an offer was accepted several weeks ago but they are now considering their options as nothing has happened since.
The Shrews broke their transfer fee record by signing Grant Holt for £170,000 and boss Paul Simpson has said he hopes to make another signing soon.
Centre-half Coughlan is the Millers' club captain.
Rotherham manager Mark Robins told BBC Radio Sheffield: "Graham has spoken to Shrewsbury, they tabled a cash bid for him.
"I allowed him to talk to them and nothing's come of that, I'm quite happy for Graham to stay.
"He had an opportunity to go there and that's where we are, at the moment."
