Swans sign young Baggies striker
Swansea City have signed young striker Stefan Morrison from Premier League new boys West Bromwich Albion.
The 18-year-old academy player arrives on a free transfer and played in Wednesday night's 6-0 friendly win over Swedish side Ostersund FK.
Swansea have also offered a new one-year deal to 21-year-old Neath-born striker Chad Bond.
"From what we have seen of Stefan he has impressed us," Swansea manager Roberto Martinez told the club website.
"He played in a few reserve games for us last season and has been training with us ever since we got back, where he has been impressive.
"Stefan has a great attitude but with every young footballer he is going to need time to develop, so he will spend time with (youth coach and scout) Alan Curtis who looks after the players in that age group.
"But I think he has a chance of becoming a very good footballer."
