Rogers backs Swindon initiative
Swindon legend Don Rogers thinks the current crop of players should benefit if the club's cut-price season ticket generates bigger crowds next season.
The Town will reduce the cost of seats by more than £100 if they get 6,000 people signing up for the scheme.
Rogers told BBC Radio Swindon "The more people we can get in the ground, the more the players will respond to it."
"But it does put a lot of pressure on the manager because everyone expects you to do well," added the 62-year-old.
Queue for tickets
Rogers scored the winning goals for Swindon in their 1969 League Cup win over Arsenal, and will have one of the main stands at the County Ground named after him next season.
"The price reductions are a superb idea. I am positive that Swindon are going to go from strength to strength now.
"I've always said football goes in 10 or 12 year cycles. You do well and then you drop off a bit, and it's come to our time now I think."
Tickets went on sale to existing season ticket holders on Monday, with some fans queueing up to reserve their places.
