Graeme McDowell has missed the cut at the French Open after hitting a 77 in Friday's second round.
McDowell had two double-bogey sixes as he finished with a six-over-par total of 148 at Le Golf National near Paris.
Paul McGinley shot a second straight 69 to lie in joint second place, just one shot behind leader Simon Khan.
Damien McGrane is on two under after a 72, one ahead of Paul Lawrie (72). Gary Murphy, is out after following up his opening 70 with a second-round 80.
Philip Walton, French Open winner in 1990, withdrew before the start of his second round, citing a back injury after his horrific opening 89.
Walton's first round had included a 12 at the 18th - his ninth hole - after he had found the water on four occasions.
