Takuma Sato

Unfulfilled promise

Takuma Sato Takuma Sato drives for a team that was set up by Honda to ensure his survival in Formula One.

His reputation suffered in 2004 and '05 when he was put in the shade by team-mate Jenson Button at BAR-Honda.

Reputed to be the best Japanese driver in F1 history, Sato has talent, but he has so far lacked consistency.

Englishman Anthony Davidson marginally shaded the intra-team battle last year, and their battle will be watched with interest again in 2008.
