Adrian Sutil

Big break

Adrian Sutil

German Adrian Sutil is the latest in a long line of drivers hoping to impress in Formula One by making a debut for a back-of-the-grid team.

He certainly did that with a stellar drive in the rain at Monaco, when he was on course for fourth place before being hit by Kimi Raikkonen's Ferrari.

Elsewhere, though, he has been less convincing, and he has yet to shed a reputation for making mistakes.

At least in Giancarlo Fisichella there is a good yardstick for his potential.
