Toyota

Pressure mounting

Toyota

Toyota became the world's biggest car marker last year, but the chances of its Formula One team enjoying similar pre-eminence appear as distant as ever.

The pressure on Toyota is greater than ever this year as they seek to develop into serious contenders.

The team's paymasters in Japan are showing signs of unease about under-achievement from their big-budget team.

There have been signs of progress this year, but so far they are too fleeting to form a firm conclusion.
