Honda rider Jonathan Rea

Jonathan Rea retired after just 14 laps in the latest round of the World Supersport Championship at Monza in Italy on Sunday.

The Ballyclare man, who rides for the HannSpree Ten Kate Honda team, started from fifth on the grid.

Rea's team-mate Andrew Pitt from Australia just missed out on a podium place by finishing fourth.

France's Fabien Foret won on a Yamaha with Josh Brookes second and fellow Australian Broc Parkes in third.
