Beijing Bulletin - suffering in silence?

More than a million people were moved for the Three Gorges Dam project on the Yangtze River (left) - again, silence.

The state-run media occasionally features reports about how those relocated to make way for the dam are enjoying their new lives.

Perhaps some of them are. But all of them? Really?

Of course, China says it fully considers the fate of people forced out of their homes to make way for construction projects, just as it considers ordinary people's opinions in all government decisions.
