Woodbridge in no hurry for medals
Shropshire Olympic hopeful Nick Woodbridge is looking on this summer's games in Beijing as a dry run for a medal chase at London in 2012.
The modern pentathlete is close to securing a place in the Great Britain squad after finishing eighth in the latest round of the World Cup.
"Realistically I see 2008 as a games experience as I am still developing," he told BBC Radio Shropshire.
"I will get stronger, and the real aim is a medal in 2012."
Woodbridge's eighth-place finish out of 95 competitors at Millfield School was a good result.
"I was looking for a top 10 finish, and one more of those should guarantee me a place in the team for Beijing," he added.
The GB selections will be confirmed in early June.
