Scottish Rocks captain Rob Yanders believes his side can spring a play-off upset in Milton Keynes on Wednesday.
But he admits the Braehead outfit will only have themselves to blame if their season comes to a premature end.
The American acknowledges his team have disappointed this term after finishing only fifth in the BBL Championship.
But he said: "If we come to play together as a team: defensively, offensively, collectively, we know we're as good as anyone."
Victory over the Lions would see Sterling Davis' men face either Newcastle or Worcester in the semi-finals in Birmingham on 3 May.
Defeat, Yanders concedes, would leave the Rocks' players with no second chance to make amends.
"We have a chip on our shoulders because nobody believes we can win this," he stated. "We've had a lot of critics this year about our team, about whether we have the depth or if we can be consistent.
"It's about time that we showed we can win. And there's no better time than in the play-offs when everything's at stake.
"That's how we have to approach it because if we don't do that on Wednesday, it's all over."
