Wiggins snatches gold in Beijing

Wiggins in action Bradley Wiggins took gold in the individual pursuit to lead Great Britain's medal charge at round two of the World Track Cup in Beijing.

Wiggins won in a tight contest against Volodmyr Dydudya of the Ukraine, who won last week's event in Sydney.

There were silvers for Rebecca Romero in the pursuit, Victoria Pendleton in the sprint and Chris Newton in the men's points race.

Chris Hoy, Craig MacLean and Jason Queally took bronze in the team sprint.
