GB enjoy more success in Beijing

Chris Hoy Great Britain's rich medal-winning form in the World Track Cup has continued in Beijing, with more success in the men's team pursuit and the kierin.

Geraint Thomas, Paul Manning, Edward Clancy and Stephen Cummings matched last week's achievement of winning in Sydney, beating New Zealand.

Chris Hoy also repeated his success of a week earlier in the keirin.

He came home ahead of Arnaud Tournant and Teun Mulder, to add to the bronze he won in the team sprint on Friday.

The British pursuit team team started fastest, with an opening kilometre of one minute four seconds, 0.20 seconds ahead of the Kiwis.

The New Zealanders converted that defiicit into a 0.20secs advantage on the second kilometre, but the British team turned up the pace on the third kilometre and then coasted in on the final one for a winning time of 4:04.659.
