Archery gold for Cavanagh

John Cavanagh held his nerve to claim Paralympic gold in the men's individual W1 archery competition.

Cavanagh edged past American Jeffrey Fabry in the semi-finals, with an extra arrow needed to separate the pair after they finished level at 108-108.

The Briton then took gold in the final with a 108-102 victory over Sweden's Anders Groenberg.

It rounded off a superb competition for Cavanagh, who set a Paralympic record of 164 points in the first round.
