Bushell's treble sprint success

Mickey Bushell

Telford teenager Mickey Bushell kept on track for the London 2012 Paralympics with a hat-trick at the British Wheelchair Championships at Gateshead.

The 17-year-old took first place in the T53 men's 100m, 200m and 400m, the last race being a bonus as he only entered late on.

"My coach Fred Periac has had me focused on my sprinting which is my speciality," said Bushell.

"Now my aim is to chase down Chris Hallam's British 100m record."
