Lush Lashes wins Musidora Stakes
Kevin Manning steered 2-1 favourite Lush Lashes to a five-length victory in the Musidora Stakes at York.
Jim Bolger's filly came sixth in the 1000 Guineas at Newmarket and proved too hot to handle despite stepping up in distance by two furlongs.
Lashes hit the front at around the two-furlong marker and finished strongly to beat off Cape Amber and Dar Re Mi with something to spare.
The filly is now the favourite for the Oaks at Epsom next month.
Musidora Stakes (York)
1. Lush Lashes (K J Manning) 2-1 Fav
2. Cape Amber (J P Spencer) 9-1
3. Dar Re Mi (J Fortune) 10-3
