Instonians jump to Division Two

Instonians will join Bruff in Division Two next season following their easy 40-11 victory over Connemara at Shaw's Bridge on Saturday.

Queen?s University just missed out although they had a handsome 45-3 success over Nenagh Ormond.

However, like Banbridge, who were defeated 22-0 by Bruff, they are in the top four play-offs.

Meanwhile, City of Derry drop out of senior rugby after they lost their relegation battle 18-5 to Waterpark.

Portadown, though are ready to replace the Judge?s Road side after their 18-3 victory over Kildare in the All-Ireland round robin qualifiers.

Hika Reid's side, who lost their senior status last season, need only a single point from next week's home game against Cashel to be promoted to Division Three.
